Journalist, with a Master’s degree in Information Science and Post graduation in Jungian Psychology, Arts and Theory of the Imaginary. Since 1994, she has been leading, counseling and supporting communication and culture policies in international organizations, governments and non-governmental institutions to meet objectives that go from the improvement of management, governance, learning and appropriation of knowledge processes to the dissemination of ethical and humanistic values. She has leaded the implementation and the coordination of the Unesco Office in Rio de Janeiro for 5 years. She has established the first communication agency for causes in Brazil, she is an international lecturer and author of articles and essays published in the press, in book compilations and specialized magazines. She is the person in charge of the executive leadership at Juntos.
Founder of Approach Comunicação, in 1996, Beth Garcia is graduated in Journalism at the Université d’Assas, in Paris, where she also got a Master’s degree in Information Science and Communication. She has worked as a collaborator for Bloch Editores in the French capital, and back to Brazil, in 1993, she was a member of the reporting team at Jornal do Brasil. Beth is in charge of Approach Comunicação’s general management and new business development.
Executive Director at Approach Comunicação, journalist Sérgio Pugliese is in charge for Sports, Health, Education and Crises Management sectors, and he leads the company’s Social Responsibility projects. Sérgio started his career as a reporter at Jornal do Brasil. He won two Esso awards and was in charge of Cities, Economy, Entertainment and Politics teams at the newspapers O Dia, Jornal do Brasil and O Globo, where he directed 40 reporters at Rio Publishing Company, the greatest team for the coverage of Cities in the country. Pugliese left the newspaper in 1999 to join Approach.
A partner at Approach since 2001, Germana Costa Moura was a reporter, columnist and temporary sub-editor at O Globo newspaper, where she worked for six years. During that period, she participated in the main coverages at the Economy Section, including privatizations, the release of Plano Real, and events promoted by the UN, the Ministry of Finance, the Brazilian Development Bank – BNDES and the Central Bank of Brazil. Germana has also been a press agent at Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional, working on the team directly coordinated by the then CEO Maria Silvia Bastos Marques. In both working areas, she has received awards, including the Aberje Awards for best Press Office and for printed publication. In the Sustainability area, the journalist is certified by the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) for the elaboration of reports in the area.
